Ciao a tutti! Hello everyone! I’m Angela - or Ange, as my friends call me. An Aussie in my early forties, with Italian roots from my mother's side, I'm rediscovering what it means to live a life full of passion, connection, and adventure. My heart has always been drawn to Italy - the art, the rich culture, the way people embrace life, and the deep-rooted family values. But it wasn’t until recently that I began to truly dive into the depths of my Italian heritage. Growing up, my connection to Italy was more like a distant dream - a string of family holidays to Bundaberg, a soft whisper of the homeland I longed to understand better.

 

In my thirties, I struggled with the feeling of being both Australian and Italian, but never quite belonging to either. That sense of longing and curiosity only grew as I got older. In 2020, I made the decision to finally reconnect with my roots by moving to Italy - but the universe had other plans with the pandemic. And so, in that limbo, the idea for this space was born. Not just about Italy, but about fully embracing the life I’ve always dreamed of, with all the joys, challenges, and lessons that come with it.

 

Now, with my eyes set on Florence, I’m on a journey of rediscovery, diving deep into my roots and embracing all the joy that life offers - at any age. From finding my purpose to soaking up the vibrant culture, the adventure is just beginning. I’m determined to live la dolce vita, to celebrate life with more intention, more meaning, and more love - whether it's through the city streets of Florence, the laughter of new friends, or moments of quiet reflection.
